Old Bridge
It was the first bridge on river Minho, an engineering milestone in antiquity. Of Roman origin but often reconstructed, the silhouette of its central arches is one of the symbols of Ourense.
Millennium Bridge
A symbol for contemporary Ourense, it was built in 2001 and with it Ourense entered the new millennium. Its silhouette and the footbridge, rising to 22 metres above the river, are remarkable.
New Bridge
It was the second of the bridges over river Minho, built during the period of transformation of the city in the late-19th century. Its metal arch is reminiscent of Eiffel’s designs.
Newest Bridge
It was a crucial construction for the development of Galicia in the 1970s, connecting this territory with central Spain.
Lonia Bridge
A beautiful medieval bridge still accessible, here starts the route to Santomé, the Celtic and Roman settlement to which it possibly gave service hundreds of years ago.
Viaduct
An engineering work of very large scale, surprisingly light. A pity that it can only be visited from the train.
Velle Dam
La carretera sobre las compuertas de la presa de Velle es un paso habitual del Miño con vistas a la ciudad.

Footbridges
The construction of footbridges closed river Minho’s green corridor: a 14-km traffic-free pathway to enjoy walking, running or cycling.
