Millennium Bridge
A symbol for contemporary Ourense, it was built in 2001 and with it Ourense entered the new millennium. Its silhouette and the footbridge, rising to 22 metres above the river, are remarkable.

New Bridge
It was the second of the bridges over river Minho, built during the period of transformation of the city in the late-19th century. Its metal arch is reminiscent of Eiffel’s designs.
The Rivers of Ourense
Three major rivers, dozens of streams and a hundred rivulets flow in Ourense. The city is the daughter of river Minho and As Burgas, a fertile valley that would not have existed without the presence of water.
Montealegre Botanical Garden
Montealegre is Ourense’s great forest park, and has the farthest northwestern Mediterranean forest in Europe.
