Located on the banks of river Minho, at the site of Oira, the Hall of Nature is a space designed to explain the visitors, in an entertaining and understandable way, the interesting natural and heritage values treasured by the riverbanks.

This interpretation centre that looks like a beached ship shows us the rich river ecosystem while goes deeper on respecting and preserving the natural environment. In its two floors you can see an exhibition that explains through panels how the thermal waters rise, the importance of water as a resource, how mills work, the adaptation of animals to river life, the wildlife of riparian forests, etc. You can see a model of a water mill and a model representing the river as it passes through Ourense.

The Hall belongs to the municipal Department of Education and in it is common to hold courses, workshops and children’s activities related to environmental education.
