Opened in 2018, this is the official hostel for the Way to Santiago in Ourense. It is located on a beautifully renovated building in the heart of Ourense’s historic center, at a privileged space on A Barreira street, a few metres away from the hot springs of As Burgas and their thermal pool.

The hostel, with capacity for 42 pilgrims, has a kitchen (without kitchenware), as well as 3 dormitories distributed on the top three floors of the building. In compliance with the current accessibility regulations, it is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

The hostel is named after Eligio Rivas Quintas, one of the pioneers in the study and promotion of the values associated with the Camino, particularly the Silver Route or Mozarabic Way. In fact, the centre includes a space for the dissemination and interpretation of this pilgrimage route, the longest one to Santiago.

The hostel has a no reservations policy. The access is limited to pilgrims with a credential.
