AFundación Exhibition Hall

This exhibition hall is located at Casa Fermín, a beautiful Modernist building designed by architect Daniel Vázquez Gulías in Ourense’s Main Square.

This facility retains its historic façade, but its interior has been completely renovated and transformed into an open space with modern lines. The exhibition space is spread over three floors, with a total of 350 square metres. It hosts multiple temporary exhibitions in which Galician art, culture, history and society, and Ourense’s in particular, play a special role.

From the Main Sqaure you enter directly into the main exhibition hall, a nave of columns from which you access the basement, an open space that is also used for exhibitions. In addition, on the sides of the main nave there are separate mezzanines that expand the exhibition surface and house workshops.

It is part of the cultural facilities that the Abanca Foundation has in Ourense. In addition to this exhibition hall, the headquarters of this foundation also stand out, located in the nearby Bispo Cesáreo Square, That is Casa Junquera, one of the most representative buildings of Galician Modernism, also designed by architect Daniel Vázquez Gulías.
